Renea Menzies
Renea
Menzies, has found an innovative way of expressing herself
through the creative movement of colors and shapes.
Prior to Renea’s successful career in art, she
was an international fashion model and corporate spokesperson
for major clients in Mexico, Spain, France, and Japan.
Today, her paintings reflect boldness and frankness
in their surprising color combinations, which comes
from years of experience working with beautiful fabrics
and exotic textures. Renea uses the brushes and pallet
knives to weave the colors in and out to create the
definition of the shapes she desires. She continues
to use her well-developed sense of color, style, balance
and scale by translating her ideas about design from
fashion into bold modern works of art on canvas. Early
in her career, Renea has studied under San Antonio and
Houston artists Diana Skripka and Emilou Powell, respectively.
Over time, she has found great inspiration from her
two young children. Renea’s patrons find that
her creative works give a positive vibration in any
room where they are displayed. Renea's art has evolved
into subtle yet vibrant contemporary and multi-dimensional
works of art that are both physically and spiritually
appealing to the eye. Renea enjoys the creativity that
modern art allows as a expressive form of communication
and it is expressed in the various styles and mediums
that she uses in her art. Recently, she has stretched
her imagination by alternating from acrylic, oils and
a variety of mixed media. Renea’s art reflects
her versatility, life experiences, and spiritual philosophy.
