The association does not receive any funding from the federal government or the United Way. Our mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. These include heart attack, stroke and related disorders. A new, more aggressive campaign has recently been embarked upon that calls for a 25% reduction in incidence of the diseases by 2010.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the number one killer of Americans. More than 2,600 Americans die each year from CVD; an average of one death every 33 seconds. Stroke is the leading cause of serious disability in the U.S.and the third leading cause of death. Heart disease and stroke kill more people each year than the other seven leading causes of death combined.

Trinity Children and Family Services:
(TCFS) is a not-for-profit, multi-service agency serving the needs of children requiring out-of-home placement through residential/treatment and foster family programs. We opened our doors in 1966 to six boys and since that time we have had only one mission: to help children heal who have been damaged by abuse, neglect, or abandonment and return to society and family. The children can then begin to reclaim their right to pursue successful and fulfilling lives. In the ensuing years more than 35,000 children have found inside the open doors of a TCFS home safe, healing, and caring environments, where they are valued, regardless of their race, creed, or cultural background.
